Our chalet is located at Camping In de Bongerd, a modern and atmospheric campsite beautifully situated on an old orchard. The surrounding nature immediately provides a sense of peace and space.
The park offers various chalets and mobile homes for 4 to 6 people, but of course, we find our own chalet the best place 😉. Our children always have a great time here – there are so many play areas and fun things to do. During the holidays, the entertainment team organizes fun activities for all ages, so boredom is not an option here.
On warm days, we often take a refreshing dip in the indoor pool at the park – perfect for families with children. And our dog can come along too, as there are accommodations on the campsite where dogs are welcome.
Every morning we get fresh bread rolls and croissants from the on-site bakery, and if we don’t feel like cooking, we simply head to the renovated restaurant or grab a drink at the bar. Everything is available for a relaxing holiday!

What we love about Holiday Park de Bongerd is that there’s truly something for children to do. There’s a cozy, heated indoor pool with a separate toddler pool, multiple playgrounds, an indoor play area, and a multi-sports court. Our children love the free kids’ club – there’s always something fun happening every day!
Families with children love the indoor playground at the park – colorful equipment, slides, and climbing frames provide hours of fun. Whether they’re climbing indoors or exploring outdoors, there’s always something to experience at De Bongerd.
The park caters to all ages. For the little ones, there are fun kids’ clubs, and older children have a great time in the Teen Club. There’s always an exciting and varied program they enthusiastically participate in.
Beautiful wooded nature reserves, long expansive beaches, and charming villages and towns. That’s how you can best describe Walcheren. The region is partly located on the North Sea and the Western Scheldt. From enjoying nature reserve De Manteling to visiting atmospheric places.

Oostkapelle Beach is a short distance from the campsite and is one of the cleanest and quietest beaches in the Netherlands. Wide sandy stretches, dunes, and a natural environment make this beach ideal for families and nature lovers. You can easily cycle or walk there via a beautiful route through the forest or dunes. A perfect place to relax and get a breath of fresh air by the sea.

The Manteling of Walcheren is the most diverse coastal area of Zeeland. The nature reserve is one of the few places where you can observe how dunes naturally form and change in the landscape. Due to the unique action of wind and water, you'll find high dunes, wet dune valleys, and dry grass dune areas there. It offers everything a nature lover could wish for.

Middelburg is the charming capital of Zeeland and a city full of history. Despite war damage, over 1100 national monuments can still be admired. In the lively center, besides old facades, you'll find nice shops, excellent restaurants, and cozy terraces. A vibrant city where you can perfectly combine culture, history, and conviviality.

Veere is one of the most beautiful towns in the Netherlands, with a rich trading history and Scottish influences. The prosperity of the past is still reflected in the imposing town hall, the large church, and the old city walls. The compact center is ideal to explore in a morning or afternoon. You really shouldn't miss Veere during a visit to Walcheren.

Between Vlissingen and Dishoek, a beautiful path runs straight through the dunes. Along the way, you have a wide view of the sea and pass the green Nollebos. The route is varied and ideal for hikers who love nature and tranquility. There are plenty of benches along the way to take a break. Those who want to go further can walk from Dishoek to Zoutelande.

Vlissingen has more to offer than just its boulevard. The city center is surprisingly charming with colorful facades, lively squares, and a beautiful harbor. A walk along the coast is highly recommended, as is a drink on one of the many terraces. Good to know: you can park for free for the first three hours on Koningsweg, within walking distance of the center.
